This green smoothie recipe is a great way to get lots of nutrients into your body. Good fats from the avocado and nut butter, carbohydrates and sweetness from the banana and all the goodness of greens. Sometimes I add some protein powder in for a complete meal – vanilla works best!

What you’ll need:

1 cup milk (e.g. almond, soy, rice)
½ cup water or coconut water
1 peeled and frozen banana
Flesh of half avocado
Fresh mint leaves
Handful baby spinach leaves
2 tablespoons nut butter
Handful of ice

How to make it:

1. Place all the ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.
