How good are the Easter holidays? We let loose, relax and let stress roll away. With all those delicious chocolate eggs and hot cross buns around we are in chocolate heaven!
And then it ends. Too short and too soon! Not only are we back at work, but we are feeling fatter, heavier and slower.
Here are five surefire ways to quickly bounce back from holiday weight gain while keeping it off:
1. Portion Control
Take whatever meal you may be having and cut the carb and fat sources by a third. This will instantly reduce your calories by 33% and fat will make its way off you .
2. More Protein
Not only is protein essential for the growth and repair of new muscle tissue, it also has a satiating effect meaning it will make you feel fuller for longer after each meal.
3. Prepare Meals
Preparing a meal can be done in less than 30 minutes and you can prepare meals for upwards of three days at a time. Having a pre determined meal plan or guideline means you know exactly how many calories are going into your mouth.
4. Track your Calories
At the end of the day, fat loss is SIMPLE SCIENCE. Eat more calories than you need, you gain fat. Eat less than you need, you lose fat. Numerous apps exist to help track calories, but I recommend myfitnesspal.
5. Avoid the White Devils
I hate to tell any of my clients to take any one type of food out of their diet. However, I can guarantee you will lose body fat and greatly increase your health if you reduce or remove your intake of:
- White Sugar
- White Flour
- White Table Salt
- Pasteurized Milk
